I wanted to tell you about an excellent restaurant I discovered last week in NYC. The name is Gotham Bar & Grill. It’s located not far from Union Square, on 12th St between Fifth Avenue and University Place. It serves a fine and very delicious Contemporary Amercican Cuisine, in a refined and sophisticated dining room. Prices are a bit high but it’s worth it, as the Executive Chef Alfred Portale’s cuisine is sublime.
The dinner menu is composed of three parts: first course, second course and third course. You can compose your menu as you want, it all depends if you are a little hungry or very hungry. I took two courses plus dessert. First, I had the Ceviche, which was extremely well seasoned and fresh. Then I had the « Miso marinated black cod », star dish of the restaurant, that made it famous.
Failing to perceive the exceptionnal flavors of these dishes, enjoy photos!
- First courses
- Second courses
For dessert, I had the true, the fabulous « Gotham Chocolate Cake ». Not too sweet and melting as it should. Probably one of the best chocolate cakes of the city (if not THE best…)!
Great food for a great evening! Next time I come to New York, it will be at the top of my to-do list!
>>> And you, have you ever been to Gotham? Did you enjoy it?
See you soon!
