How to style pink

It’s the color of the season. It’s on every magazine. In a word, it’s the trend to follow.

But don’t get me wrong: I am not saying we must follow every trend. On the contrary, I think we should all wear clothes because we like them, and not because it’s trendy. « Trends come and go but style remains » as Saint Laurent said.

I must admit I am currently in a pink obsession though (have you seen that gorgeous Gucci pink fur coat?? OMG) and I know not everybody dare wear pink in one’s daily life. That’s why I decided to prove you that pink is (almost) as wearable as black. Whether you’re shy and rather wear it by small touches, or audacious so you are not afraid to wear it in all-over, you’ll find there all the keys to look fancy with pink!

Here are three outfit ideas I imagined on Polyvore featuring pink items… Make your choice!

  • Ready for a Sunday Brunch in Versailles.

LEVIS jeans, GUCCI sweater, ZARA coat, MIU MIU flats.

This casual and stylish outfit is made for girls who like to look effortlessly chic.

  • 1998, Saturday night, Manhattan, New York.

CK COLLECTION dress, CHIARA FERRAGNI backpack, GUCCI bombers, MAJE boots, AURELIE BIDERMANN earrings.

Fashion is in a current Nineties mood and this New York style outfit illustrates it perfectly: over-the-knee boots, soft nightie and bombers. But when you take it back to today’s taste, it  appears like a cheerful mix of red and pink!

  • Being eccentric yet smart is a daily struggle.

Vintage top, MAISON SCOTCH coat, LOEWE bag, GUCCI shoes, ZIMMERMAN pants, AAMAYA BY PRIYANKA necklace.

With that pink tartan coat on your shoulders you can be sure not to go unnoticed! A pink monochrome and a vintage rock tee for the British touch and now you’re ready to attend the most prestigious fashion shows!

This is my way to wear pink in all-over…
